Peter is also big on popculture. He loves manga, video games, horror, movies, tv, etc., so please let me know if it's alright for him to know of your character and/or tell them so.
This especially goes for characters in Shounen Jump series as he reads Jump religiously. Otherwise, the more mainstream it is, the more likely he is to know it. He comes from about November of 2012, so he would potentially know of anything up to that point. It also isn't at all limited to Japanese media and aside from manga and JRPGs, he's most likely to know Hollywood movies and such.
